Oh! Snap.... Chat!!!
Here are some of my SnapChats from this week!
I WENT TO SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2015!
It was SO MUCH FUN!
See, I don't mind the huge crowds and having to walk and zig-zag through a whole bunch of people.... I really don't.
It's probably because I grew up going to Disneyland and Zoos and stuff but still.
I also love to people watch and I guess that's also why I loved to see who dressed up as what and so on.
I dressed up as well.
Day one, I was dressed up with a steampunk theme.
Day Two, I dressed up as a storm trooper. (Star Wars Panels were that day)
Day Three, I dressed up as Thor.
And Day Four, I dressed up as a Borderlands Video Game character.
Another fun thing is that all of my costumes were bought from POPRAGEOUS.COM which means that I'm able to re-use all of my outfits for my dance classes since they're all nylon legging materials!
They're the best, and everyone should check them out!

My 100 Day Stretch Challenge
Hello Everyone!
If some of you have been on my Facebook the past couple of months you would have seen lots of pictures of me stretching. I committed myself to doing the 100 day stretch challenge through my Instagram (follow me if you want @pattienpointe) and I eventually decided to put it through onto my Facebook as well so that I could document my progress throughout my 100 days. Basically, I decided that I was getting no where by just stretching whenever and that I wasn't going to be anywhere close to my goal (The Middle Splits) if I was just dilly-dallying.
I am proud to say that I did finish the 100 days and even though I didn't exactly make my goal, I am still really happy that I got up and worked for it.

Creative Writing PortfolioThe LabyrinthLoose stones Line the Labyrinth walls
A sharp Left See the Labyrinth Keeper with eyes Like Lapis Lazuli Laying in a Lush garden of Lotus and Larkspur Listening to Lingering silence You Look and Leave Later, sharp Left Becoming Lost in your own Lunatic thoughts Now, in the Languor of afternoon air Look and See No Luck Dead end. The Writer and the TreesThe writer sits in front of a large, lean tree
The branches are plentiful; covered in sandy brown bark She sits down quietly Looking still and calm Hand moving quickly across the page Biting her lip in thought as she glances around at the ground The strong, tall tree at her back had littered pinecones everywhere Creating small shadows that speckle the ground in the morning sun Including the tree’s own, tall shadow. The writer has almost a full page now Pausing only once or twice to refresh her memory The younger trees around her are nothing like the one at her back Having needles instead of their bright green leaves Standing out of the crowd Like the leader of the pack |
Just after WinterWhat if I said – it was last spring,
The sky after it rained that morning In our own backyards – What if I said it was the light wind Swirling above the tree Between the stars In A Starry Night by Van Gogh What if I said a steady stream, if I said wisteria hanging down the sides of a flower pot – Or hyacinth blooming in a gentle rain Soaking up the water from the soil around it – If it was the air looming in the moon’s light Right after the late winter sun dips away from sight Periwinkle, I said. Smooth Periwinkle. Swimming in RealityI jumped in
I took the plunge Waking myself up with reality Splashing my face as I make my movements forward I know others are waiting behind me Preparing to dive in I know I’m trying hard to keep my head up and above I keep myself from drowning in unimportant and unknown dangers They nudge and slide beneath my feet as they swim near As I tread and swim Determined To reach my future and my goals And someday, I know, I’ll be on my own I jumped in I took the plunge Waking myself up with reality |
Prisoner of the Moon
Leona never wanted this to happen to her… or her family.
It’s because of her that she and her family have to keep moving around from state to state. Who knows what’s next? Another country? And it’s all due to her ‘problem’ as her family puts it.
“Are we almost there?” Jeremy, Leona’s older brother, asked impatiently from the seat next to her while pushing his glasses back up the bridge of his nose. “I’m dying back here.”
Their mom looked back from the passenger’s seat and slightly smiled. “You have food and your game boy in your travel bag, don’t you?”
Jeremy rolled his eyes, “It’s a Nintendo DS, Mom, and yeah I have food. I just don’t want to be sitting here anymore, I need to get up and actually do something.”
Leona started to block out what ever her mom was saying next, she didn’t really care about her brother’s bickering. What she really cared about was that she had already eaten two bags of beef jerky, all four of her jerky sticks, a box of whoppers, and a bag of gummy bears… and she’s still hungry.
Her parents had just started learning to put more food in her packs, unfortunately, it still isn’t enough. She stared out of the car window without really looking at anything and pushed her black bangs to the side of her forehead. Two more hours until we get to our new town, our new life, and my new high school. Leona thought, already feeling like a loner.
Leona came down the stairs of her new house with her backpack slung over her shoulder carrying everything she needed; mainly bags of beef jerky.
Her mom met her in the car. “Hello sweetie.” She said as Leona got in the passenger’s seat.
“Hi Mom.” Leona said in a somewhat cheery mood.
Her mom smiled and pulled out of the driveway, only waiting to talk again when they turned into the parking lot of Leona’s new high school. “Alright, I hope you have a good day at school sweetie.” She said as Leona unbuckled her seat belt and opened the car door.
She was about to step out when her mom grabbed her arm, “Please don’t mess this up again… I really like it here and it would really hurt to leave it.”
Leona was speechless, so instead she nodded, closed the door, and walked away.
There goes my cheery mood for the day. She thought when she entered the main office to grab her schedule.
“Lunch, finally.” Leona muttered under her breath as she gathered her biology textbook and notebook from her desk in the back of the classroom. Her black hair swooped into her face as she looked down to zip up her backpack.
“Hey! I’m Rachel.” A voice said from behind her.
Leona’s brother probably would have squealed if anyone popped up on him like that, but Leona wasn’t very easy to surprise. She turned around to face a sweet faced brunette with hazel eyes, “Hello…” Leona said.
Rachel smiled. “You’re Leona, right?”
Leona nodded and managed a smile.
“Pretty name.” Rachel continued. “Why don’t you come sit with me and my friends at lunch, they’re really nice and are fairly easy to get along with.” She giggled.
Leona mulled the offer over in her head. “Okay.” She finally said with a smile.
She’d never been asked to sit with a group before when she came to a new school. Most of the time she would sit against a wall outside or find bench around the school.
Maybe this place is better. Leona thought to herself as she followed Rachel out of the biology classroom and to the cafeteria.
Rachel led her to a rounded table in the middle of the cafeteria where two other girls were. “Hey guys! This is Leona, she’s new here.” Rachel said as they sat down.
A girl with shoulder length blonde hair and bright blue eyes looked Leona over. “Oh my goodness, you’re pretty.” She said with a slight accent. “Are you part Italian?” she asked.
Leona nodded and gave a close-lipped smile.
“I was thinkin’ the same thing when I saw her black hair.” Another girl with chocolate colored skin said.
Rachel laughed and pointed to the blonde, “This is Darcy.” And then she pointed towards the other girl, “And this is Tabatha.” They both smiled.
“Hi.” Leona said with a smile of her own and pulled a bag of beef jerky out of her backpack.
Rachel and Tabatha stared at it.
“Is that all you’re going to eat?” Darcy asked nicely. “I have some other food if you don’t want to just eat that.”
Leona shook her head. “No, it’s alright. This is basically all I eat… well, this and whoppers.” She said.
Tabatha shook her head. “I can’t eat whoppers anymore. I gained five pounds the last time I got my hands on those babies.”
Rachel pointed to the bag of jerky. “If that’s all you eat then how do you stay so skinny?” she asked.
Leona looked herself over and tried to think of something extracurricular that would keep her in shape. “I, uh, I do boxing.” She finally said.
All three of the girls stared at her. Finally Tabatha leaned over towards Darcy and said, “That would explain the arm muscles.”
Rachel giggled and Darcy nodded in agreement.
Leona hunched her shoulders slightly in a sad attempt to take away from her slightly defined figure.
Darcy reached a hand over and patted Leona’s hand, “It’s alright, don’t be ashamed of it, you’re beautiful. But listen,” she included Rachel and Tabatha, “My parents are letting me have some people over to hang out tonight if y’all wanna come. I think it would be tons of fun.”
Rachel and Tabatha agreed they would go instantly and Leona was about to do so herself, she was never invited to anything, until she remembered what tonight was. Her smile fell completely. “I’m sorry, I can’t… I have to… help my parents unpack boxes.”
Tabatha made a sad face. “Aw, maybe next time then.”
“Yeah.” Darcy said with a genuine smile. “I’d love to have you over.”
“Okay.” Leona smiled.
The moonlight barely penetrated through the dense forest trees as Leona kept walking through the fallen pine needles. She had started walking from the tree line back at her house five hours before when she got home from school.
She had to be as far away as she could.
Leona felt the air become still and took a deep breath. Here it comes… She thought.
In an instant, her spine cracked and twisted, throwing her to the ground screaming.
Her fingers began to turn claw like, growing longer and harder nails. Her screams started to sound more like howling wails as her teeth began to elongate and her mouth began to take shape into a muzzle.
Leona’s black hair seemed to cover her everywhere, turning more into fur.
Her clothes lay in a ripped pile beneath her as she stood on all fours. She looked up through the trees, catching only a glimpse of the full moon above her.
This isn’t my ‘problem’. She thought to herself. This is my life.
Leona threw her head back and howled before running off into the night. Constantly in search of her next prey.
It’s because of her that she and her family have to keep moving around from state to state. Who knows what’s next? Another country? And it’s all due to her ‘problem’ as her family puts it.

Super Blue the Balloon
Once upon time, there was a little blue balloon. He was always very sad because he didn’t have very many friends. All the cool balloons were bright colors and they didn’t want to be seen with a pastel color like Little Blue’s color. But one day, a quite popular balloon named Birthday, was floating around in the sun. Birthday didn’t know, but when he stayed out in the sunlight for too long his color began to fade.
“Oh, no!” Birthday cried, “They’ll never know it’s me!”
Lucky for him, Little Blue was there to see him and came to the rescue.
“Have no fear! Blue is here!” He yelled as he floated quickly over to Birthday.
“How will you help me? You’re faded too!” Birthday asked helplessly.
“I have a red sharpie!” Little Blue said happily and began coloring Birthday until he was a shiny red color. He was even more vibrant than before.
“Wow! Thanks!” Birthday exclaimed. “Why don’t you color yourself?” he asked, thinking that Little Blue would then be able to hang out with Birthday and the rest of his shiny friends.
To Birthday’s surprise, Little Blue looked away, “I only have a red sharpie…” he said quietly.

Ode to Potatoes
You're round and thick With dirty skin and many eyes There's many ways to serve you I'll never get sick Mashed, fried, hashed, baked Oh, potatoes, you're mine to thank. Labels Preppy, skater, nerds, jocks, So many labels that everyone mocks You're funny, you're sweet, but that's not neat. Don't call her from her looks Don't judge him by his book You turned their name into a freakish game. Freaks and geeks, their just smart. Why do you have to bag on them? You have no heart. You shouldn't do that although everyone does. Skaters, cheerleaders, They love what they do They have a life You need one too. |
Cupid's Sticky-Note
A pull-back -aim- and then -fire- Bulls-eye A heart-tipped arrow hit a young teen's heart He blinked in wonder as he entered the office Behind a desk, typing away, sat a beauty Curled hair and deep blue eyes Of course you'd think she's shy He paced back and forth and then again She looked up silently and found herself to be lost in dark brown eyes "Can I help you?" she asked He smiled Soon enough a conversation breaks out Her name and number is all he leaves with Soon to be stuck on a leather surface Calls every night To see if it's right Cupid's Sticky-Note, Hold on tight Months and months of calls, small talk, dates, and notes Their love grew as great as it could 18 long years later 2 sons 3 daughters The folded leather surface clung on to by the small note - untouched Not even moved Stays there, resembling the glances of two young minds One draw One hit The young man strolls out early, just to see if it sticks Car window shattered Just before dawn Everything's gone The case the leather surface 18 long years 18 years is all first glance memories last Cupid's Sticky-Note is gone, but the love still lasts. |
Here are some of my pictures!
